Balsamic Honey Glazed Pork Chops

I got this recipe from a friend and we made these the other night. Oh my goodness they are so good!

Ingredients:

2 pork chops
olive oil
salt and freshly ground pepper
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons of honey
1/2 cup balsamic vinaigrette dressing

Directions:

Cover your frying pan with olive oil and heat over medium high heat. Cover pork chops with crushed garlic and season with salt and pepper. Add pork chops to frying pan and cook about 2 minutes on each side until browned.

Reduce heat to medium low and add the honey and balsamic vinaigrette. Coat the pork chops in the liquid and simmer for 10 minutes.

Happy Saturday!

I hope you all had a wonderful week! Things have certainly calmed down a bit in my life, so for that I am very thankful! I have finished dealing with my insurance company (Nationwide) on my old car. I was very pleased with the price that they were willing to give me for my old car and am looking forward to getting my new one.

I am leaning heavily towards the Volvo XC 90. While I do like the little Lexus, the Volvo is quite a bit bigger and it has the third row seats. Plus, the safety rating on the Volvo is outstanding. That is one of the main things I am looking for in a new car. Well - that and something without 200,000 miles on it like my old one - ha ha!

Thanks so much for all of your suggestions and input. I really appreciate it! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning! I hope you all have had a nice week! My week has been stressful. I had several deadlines to meet at work, my grandfather was in the hospital, and I got in a wreck and totaled my car. Any prayers would be much appreciated. :)

I'm trying to decide on a new car. Has anyone had - the Volvo suv, the small Lexus RX suv, the BMW 3 series, or the Toyota Land Cruiser? I'm trying to decide what to get...

Thanks for your thoughts! I hope you all have a great weekend!

Phytovolume Actif

After hearing about this volumizer for the past several years, I finally decided to break down and buy it. I am thrilled that I did! I absolutely love it. You spray it at the roots for more volume and it definitely delivers. Normally when I use a volumizer it makes my hair feel oily, but this is lightweight. The smell is a little bit funny, but it goes away once you blowdry your hair. I bought mine here at Sephora.

Pesto Chicken Grill Packets

This is a quick and easy recipe that I put together this weekend. It is definitely something I will make again because it was so easy and there was no cleanup involved - that is a win/win.

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 jar of pesto sauce
mushrooms
asparagus
red potatoes
olive oil
aluminum foil

Directions:

Cut 4 12 inch long sheets of aluminum foil. In the center of each sheet, place about 1 teaspoon of olive oil.

Season chicken with salt and pepper, and lay over olive oil. Top the chicken with about 1 tablespoon of the pesto.

Top the chicken with the mushrooms, asparagus, and potatoes. Pour about 3 tablespoons of pesto over the top of the vegetables.

Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and ends to seal making one large packet, leaving room for heat circulation inside. Bake at 355 degrees for 25 minutes or until done.
