Organic Cleaning Products

I have been trying to make the switch over to all organic cleaning products. I am concerned about the amount of chemicals that are in some of the cleaning products I have previously used. The smell is terrible, and it makes me wonder how these chemicals impact the environment. Here is a list of some of my favorite cleaning products thus far.

I love these polka dot gloves from Sur la Table. I have one pair for cleaning and one pair for dish washing. They help to keep my hands clean and dry.
I love to use this Scour Off paste from Shaklee. I use it instead of a heavy duty cleaner in my oven and on my cook top. It does such a great job without using harsh chemicals and there isn't a weird toxic smell either.

These microfiber window cloths from Shaklee are great. I use them on glass and mirrors and then throw them in the washing machine. I hate using paper towels because they leave behind little fuzzies. These cloths work efficiently and are reusable. I have had mine for over a year now and it is still like new.
If you want to use an organic dishwashing product, this one from Shaklee works very well. I have found this to work better than any other automatic dishwashing product I have used before, organic or not.

I have posted about these before, but I wanted to include them here because I like them so much. This microfiber cleaning mitt comes from Williams Sonoma. Naturally, I bought the pink one, but it also comes in green, purple, and yellow. I use it to dust everywhere. I have two, one for each hand, and am able to dust quickly with no other products. Afterwards, you can throw them in the washing machine and reuse them.
Mrs. Meyers makes an amazing line of organic cleaning products. They smell great and work well. My favorite Mrs. Meyers product is her lavender window spray. I love the natural scents that she uses in her products.
These Scotch Brite Kitchen Cloths are another product I use often. They are machine washable and are great for cleaning kitchen and bathroom counters instead of using a paper towel.

Have you all made the switch to organic products? What are your favorite products or lines? I hope everyone has a nice day!

Great post! I too have made the changes regarding all the toxic chemicals! Not good! I love things from Mrs. Meyers, Caldrea, Seventh Generation and Biokleen. I think I need that mitt from WS!

I love those gloves...I have been meaning to buy a pair or two. Also, I found some dryer balls on delight.com awhile ago and now I don't have to use dryer sheets...they work great!

I'm a fool for cleaning products so I can't wait to check these out. And those gloves are too cute.

Method makes a really fabulous mint toilet bowl cleaner. I know, I know, not the most glamorous of chores but this has totally replaced my clorox. :)

Amen to that A1! The first thing I want to do when I start working full time is hire a housekeeper. In the meantime, I am trying to make cleaning as bearable as possible. I love buying cleaning products, but I hate actually using them! Ha ha!

I've heard other good things about Mrs. Meyers. I like Caldrea, especially the smell. I just started treating myself to a housekeeper once a month and LOVE IT!!! I think she uses a lot of vinegar, which of course is organic:)

Sorry, I haven't been around lately. I'm so behind on my blog reading!!!!! Gonna try and catchup this weekend!

Have a fabulous weekend!!!

I love this post! Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope it's ok, but I'd like to link your blog to my blog. I have had so much fun browsing your posts.

Anyhoo, I love to buy cleaning products too. I laugh b/c I'm not a huge fan of cleaning. I love the Shaklee products. I've tried all of those items and they are fabulous. Another great one to try is the Get Clean hand soap. Oh my goodness, it's such a great feeling and the smell is 'fresh'. Wonderful.

Now I need to make a trip to the mall for the WS pink sponge mitt! Thanks for sharing!
